Thats right, AOE is going the MMO way. At first I was worried. I though this would turn into something like Farmville or Travian where all you have to do is click on a few things every 24 hours. Thankfully, this is not the case.
The MMO part just has some persistent online stuff. PvP gameplay is not clear yet. But one good thing is that your base/cities won't be destroyed if you forget to log in for a few day.:clap:
