I'm having the same issue now

I gave a cheque on 15th March 2010 & they said it bounced but my passbook shows it cleared on 18th March 2010

Called the cc at 10am & they said they will verify & call me back

No calls yet :(

Thank God I didn't surrender Reliance yet

Its been more than a week since I requested for plan migration , whenever I call they give me the same BS .. will be done in 24 hours !

even on my Airtel mobile they started cutting 3 Rupees everyday saying I applied for IPL updates which I had not

took 60 Rupees before I realized & canceled it

Airtel won't reverse the charges as they say I started it & I have no proof that I didn't

what is happening to Airtel :(

I'd say you stay adamant, don't pay your damn bill until they sort the mess out. Talk to someone senior at Airtel, call the Nodal Officer.

I had a similar experience with Idea Cellular, they sent me a text about Rs.400/- Edge services and I clearly remember that text stated for MORE INFORMATION text so and so to this number, I did that, only for informational purposes.

At the end of the month I realize that they have billed me for Rs.200 for using their Edge services, which I did not even access once and had NO idea about. So I called the Customer Care, being the useless lot they are they said they could not do anything about it and spoke very rudely and that's when I got pissed off and swore that I would not let these a-holes get away.

I immediately called the Nodal Officer, explained him the whole situation while he quietly listened, filed a complaint, mailed the Nodal Officer again, got in touch with customer care again, got in touch with the Head, explained him the whole situation and how the customer care representative was an a-hole to me. I refused to pay my bill until they sorted the mess out, finally they came through and said that I should pay the current bill and they'll deduct the Rs.200 from the next month's bill, which they did.

So motto is, don't let these a-holes go, they need YOU, you don't THEM. Demand your right.

well I'm on prepaid not postpaid

Now, they are not replying to my mails...the nodal officer numbers I was given, well no one picks them up.

The latest these CC guys are telling me that is I need to get a statement from the bank that money was debited from my account and credited to theirs (i.e. Bharti's).

Will do that too tomorrow ("too" because i have done a lot of things they have said to me before)...I seriously hope that things will be sorted out now.

The best way to avoid these problems is to pay online you can also eliminate the unnecessary middle-men (who seem to be the cause of the problem) with this.

These a-holes have still not done anything yet..they are still giving me the same usual BS ,"We are working on it, we have forwarded your complaint, it will be done blah blah blah"

Im just going to wait for another 3-4 days now so I wanted to know to what could I shift? My broadband plan with airtel was/is 1299 in which I got 512kbps Day and 1mbps night UL FUP 100GB, so is there any similar plan that I could opt for? I do not want to pay more than 1299+100 (tax) for broadband.

I don't why that's happening to you. But my Airtel CC experience is outa this world. It's the best I've ever been treated.

Speak to nodal sup man, this kids aint gon do any good.

Bro, I have talked to EVERYONE I could..maybe this issue gets resolved in 1-2 days as the Nodal guys have told me they are resolving it asap and will send me a revised bill and when I pay it my services will be resumed. These Airtel guys even sent me an official letter stating that I need to pay them some 6k+ (They are very promt in sending me bills but dont realize that my phone is dead since the last 1.5 months) otherwise they will file a case against me under Indian Penal Code blah blah blah

Billing is the most problematic part of Airtel. I have had good experience from them when it comes to technical issues, but have seen 2 of my friends running around for 6+ months with billing issues. Think its time for you to file a case with consumer court or at least threaten them of the same. My friend used to get a months amount as due although he had payed for it through a cheque. Finally they filed a case and the guy produced the records from the bank. These guys were fined for wasting courts time...

After seeing my friends problems, I always pay my bills by cash and get a receipt. I have all of them filed in a place and keep them safe more than my other records :). You never know when you will need them.....

PS: On a funnier note - Couple of years back I got a call from Airtel CC. The girl told me that ECS for billing was not going through and I had to pay my bill at any of Airtel shops. The funny part - All I had (at that time) was Airtel prepaid

Well, I think the issue has been solved now...I have been told that my services will be resumed shortly and a revised bill will be made which will be payable by me.
