I agree. Why? No one with an AGP mobo is likely to be looking to upgrade to a 3850.... well actually, come to think of it..... I might have (if my PC hadn't completely crapped out!)

Well it depends really, a single core athlon64, a gig of ram and a hd 3850 still make for a good mid range gaming system. epsecially since u dont have to overhaul the whole system

^^a single core athlon would seriously bottleneck it dude

crysis drops to 8-10fps when some character comes into the picture to fight with u :)

same with ut3 too

a friend tried out a 3870 with a p4 3ghz while he was waiting for his new cpu :P

NOT on all games guys, agreed cpu is a big factor but generally most games are more gpu limited. Say someone has a 6600 GT or something, a HD3850 is a substantial upgrade and will make a LOT of difference without having to overhaul the entire system.

yes i agree it is a better idea to just migrate to PCIE with a cheap mobo+proccy+DDR2 but in the end its up to the buyer isnt it

well these cards are hard to get.. i keep a track of them in newegg.com, they keep going out of stock.. right now only the powercolor is available for US$225 which is Rs9000, they do have a HIS but thats US$275... im plannin to get one.. will let u know of performance :P

If its that expensive it makes more sense to get a cheap mobo+proccy+ram for like 150$ and u can get a hd3850 pcie for 135$

Do u buy it online???

Where to Buy a Gfx card (ATI)

i have seen heavily overpriced cards in my city Chennai... or outdated models
