Hello guys!
We need an AIO printer/scanner/copier at home. Printer usage will be quite low, will be used only once in a while. But the quality needs to be decent. Photos may be printed once in a while. It should be able to get CISS installed. The scanner needs to be good since I will be scanning a lot of photos.
Budget is around 6-7k max. Please suggest.

The L200 is the one with a scanner. But the scanner doesn't look so impressive.
Any other options?

Canon seems to have good scanners attached to the printers. Any models I should look for?

Ok, so we went with a Canon MP 287. Have ordered it from Flipkart and will be reaching soon. Chose the Canon because it has better scanning specs on paper. I couldn't find the Epson TX220 anywhere which looked like a good AIO. If the scanner isn't satisfactory, we might buy a standalone scanner for scanning photos. But that's later.

Anyways, now that the AIO has been ordered, I need to look for the next step ie installing CISS. There are a few kits available on ebay. It doesn't seem too difficult to get it done myself.
So I'd like to know if I should order a kit from ebay or should I get hold of someone locally to get it installed? Also any pointers to a good seller for CISS on ebay? ink-shop-india has pretty good seller feedback.

Check the post above you. :P I bought the Canon MP287. Didn't look at HP models coz I wanted to get CISS installed and I heard HP was a big pain.

Anyways I received it today! :D Looks pretty nice. Did a couple of quick copying tests. Will try some prints and scanning in a while.

Meanwhile, tips for CISS please people!!

Anyways, why wouldn't the scanner work if cartridges are empty? :S

Because thats the way world works. Some f%^ing error will keep on coming on screen.I was so pissed that i now went for a monolaser printer and instead of scanning i take pictures via my digicam or mobile.Though yes they are not as good as scanner but in India juggad is the best stuff to do.

Regarding CISS i dont think now you have any help remaining as canon and hp are chipped products and playing with CISS in warranty is not recommended.
