How good are these? or are these just some sort of placebo / snake oil things?

I've seen prices ranging from Rs1200 on ebay (no name brand) - 6.5k (Eureka Forbes)

The more costlier EForbes one has some hepa air filter.

asking cause i feel like buying one of these. The air in my home seems stale compared to the air outside, no matter whether the windows are kept open or not.

Would this unit have to be kept switched on the whole day considering the amount of electricity it would consume?

Before you go out and buy one just make sure it doesn't have problems with your PC coz i heard some of the ION based Air Fresheners( or whateva they are called ) coz some major problems.

PS: Not really sure on this one; try googling, mentioned it here because i read it on some forums that people were having problems with their PC parts burning out.
