Airtel 1mbit Unlimited @ 2222

Does anyone know if this is available in Chennai? The website doesn't show it and I don't trust the Call Center guys who usually need to be informed by the customer about new plans that come out.
 
bsnl is laugh 2 map unlimited for 900 r.s after 2 mothns so bsnl is update the sped soon
from 256 kbps to 2 mbps ;)
so you have you be patient for 2 months

also from 2 mbps update to 8 mbps for 500 plans
and 2 mbpa update 8 mbps for 650 plans
and 2 mbps to 8 mps fo basic 250
 
arun are u saying , in two months 256 Unlimited will be upgraded to 2mbps unlimited?
 
Why don't you contact some senior customer care representative. They are at least better informed than the regular call center people.

send out an email to care.tamilnadu@airteltelephone.com and ask them for the list of current plans available for chennai. usually its pretty accurate compared to the website

googled around and there are a few rumours floating around but lets wait for confirmation first. also its mentioned as 256 kbps upto 2mbps which doesnt really fill me with confidence :P

even mine too i am waiting my friend is working at bsnl officer so he told me

no link but they will confirm soon but the government are crazy :rofl:

i am doom with 256 kbps

only i get 1.4 or 1 gb per day at 30 Kb Max
 
I also heard about speed increase by BSNL from Sr. Officer in my city... He told me that, they are trying to get enough bandwidth for supplying such speed to all customers...
 
If at all BSNL actually do it , Other players will be forced into following sooner or later. And if any ISP can do it , It's got to be BSNL, we can only hope for the best.
 
On the advice of bottle, I mailed the "senior customer care" at care.tamilnadu@airteltelephone.com. They promptly replied with a spreadsheet containing the "latest plans". I was amazed at the speed at which they got back to me. Every other ISP I've used has taken atleast 2 days to mail back but this was a matter of hours.

But here's the catch.

AHAHAHAHAHAH EVEN THE "SENIOR EXECUTIVES" HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THEIR OWN PLANS. LOOK AT THE PRICES FOR UNLIMITED 256kbps and 512kbps.

I had to send out one long reply EXPLAINING TO THEM HOW THEIR OWN COMPANY had slashed rates for the 512k plan to less than half of what is listed on that spreadsheet and how there is also a new 384kbps plan available for Rs. 999. Let me see what they have to say now lol.
 
^turns out that was for commercial usage. they sent me the residential plans and the 1mbps Unlimited plan is not available in Chennai as yet :<
