Airtel 3G finally in Mumbai...

just received a mail yesterday...

3g services finally launched in Mumbai...

even activated them...

got a confirmation sms in just 20 mins... and there I saw a H sign on the taskbar....

currently enrolled for 200 rs 250mb plan...

1- Rs 100,100MB Free,20KB@30Ps

2- Rs 20,20KB@15Ps

3- Rs 200,250MB Free,20KB@30Ps

4- Rs 450,600MB Free,20KB@30Ps

5- Rs 675,1.25GB Free,After 13.89GB 100% Free, 100KB@1Ps

6- Rs 750,2GB Free,20KB@30Ps

Video Call- 5p per sec on Local, STD & Roaming in all plans

these are all the current plans available...

Mumbai users to activate it just have to type 3G and send it to 121..

after getting activation message, again send 3g to 121 to select your plan...

Yes, makes it 10 MB per rupee (don't forget you are paying 675 upfront for the initial 1.25 GB though)

Ha ha, I really dont use it. Its a test phone.

I dont use it because Reliance GSM network s**ks !!!

But still speeds much better than Airtel.

Switch to Reliance guys !!!

Happy with 2G edge. The price is a nominal Rs 100 to start with. (I managed unlimited). The free download of 2G is applicable on roaming. In 3G, usage is charged extra while roaming on airtel. It would be been good if the roaming was free like others, but a charge of 30p/20 KB makes it rather exhorbitant.

I have an airtel Maharashtra and Goa circle SIM. I have the 98 rupees / 2GB pack activated. But i am not able to connect to Airtel 3G network in Mumbai and use the same data at better speeds. I am not sure whether this is normal because i think people did report of them being able to connect to 3G network on 2G plan and using the data.
Something like vodafone.
