Airtel 3G - What a joke! I got duped by FA!lTEL, AGAIN!

So I went ahead and bought a 3G pack for my 3G phone, Nokia 5230.

Mind you, I have used Aircel 3G sim on this phone with 200 KB/s excess speeds, and 3 months ago, when I got my new Airtel sim, I had 1 month of free 3G, and the speeds have gone to about 200 KB/s to 400KB/s

Now, with the new RC 103 200MB 3G pack, I was hoping for the same magic.

Here's what I have got, since last 2 days, 3rd day today. A max of 4 KB/s, download. When I switch to 2G(GSM) from UMTS, I get higher speeds, ike 5-7KB/s mostly 4 itself.
What has gone wrong? Why is this happening? Did I just make another mistake with AIRTEL? I was gonna MNP to Docomo, saw the double data 3G offer and went for it, and look where it ended.

CC says they will fix my speed in 2 days, but that's not the point. If they cant provide 3G DON'T ****** sell it. I need to make an international SKYPE call last night, and I couldn't even get the video to turn on, then I realised the mindblowingly fast speeds of 4KB/s.
WHat do I do? I'm beyond frustrated with this company. My 103 bucks is wasted right?

MayBe too much 3g traffic making it slow. Since the 3g network is also shared by vodafone guessing you stay in k'taka.
 
Well, no point in continuing with failtel. Ask for a moneyback or extra validity/data. Else MNP.

Am looking at keeping 2 net connections here, an extra backup for on demand when my main net goes down(it was down for 2 days, mainly because some idiot went and cut the line+router not working). Will most likely go with docomo/MTNL.

Not many people here use 3G, the population itself is hardly big enough to cause such issues. It's been 4 days now.
 
hmm. i may know the reason for those low speeds, since many students need faster internet.

i guess bad luck for you.

And it's more than 10 days now, I got 2 calls from AIRTEL where they said, you will get full 3G speeds from now on.

It's 12 days now, and I'm still on 2G speeds of 4KB/s. I'm never using AIRTEL 3G again.
