airtel 512 unlimited Rs1500+12%tax?

I just got Airtel 512 unlimited plan i am being charged 1769 :S .
they also took 1500 as security deposit.charged me additional charges 800
for installation.Is this correct:huh:.

I am not sure but airtel dont charge modem rental. We have just subsribed to airtel in our office so yet to get bill.

as far as i know(here in chennai) the installation/security charges are a flat Rs 500, and sometimes there are promotional offers offering the connection for free..!!

please check with the Airtel CC, cos the charges you have posted seem to be extremely high..
