airtel 512 unlimited Rs1500+12%tax?

I just got Airtel 512 unlimited plan i am being charged 1769 :S .
they also took 1500 as security deposit.charged me additional charges 800
for installation.Is this correct:huh:.
 
its 1499 + taxes comes to 1679 for me..
it must be the same for you.. or you might have made some calls on the phone
 
I am not sure but airtel dont charge modem rental. We have just subsribed to airtel in our office so yet to get bill.
 
as far as i know(here in chennai) the installation/security charges are a flat Rs 500, and sometimes there are promotional offers offering the connection for free..!!

please check with the Airtel CC, cos the charges you have posted seem to be extremely high..

Either your on some promotional offer or you own the modem...
