anyone else having this problem? i'm trying to upload files to sendspace, filefront etc and i can't seem to get more than 30kb/s on a single upload no matter what i do. however, if i upload 2 files at the same time i get close to 60kb/s totally.

airtel 512mb chennai.

That generally happens with these kinda sites...What about torrents? What upload speed do u get there?Im also on the 512Kb ul plan in Bangalore and get close to 60kbps upload on torrents..lesser on http..

+ 1, same plan in pune, seems like uploads are capped at 30, which is weird,
cause dl's are hitting 70+ almost all the time

thts kinda strange.. i can upload both torrents and http @ > 80kbps even though i am on 256 unlimited plan in delhi.

Get airtel guys to check connectivity ...i dont think they have got any capping on upload speeds

i know that it used to be 60kbps upload earlier.. atleast on torrents. i haven't checked any torrents recently because i haven't been downloading much. the weird thing about http upload is that a single file seems to be capped at 30 while 2 upload at 30 each.

try ftp to some server. multiple threads. It usually speeds up upload..see if it makes a difference. upload over http is anyway slower.

i haven't tried an ftp server as yet but a bandwidth test from speedtest.net shows about 512k upload. i am sure i have that much upload bandwidth as 2 files touch about 60kb/s. it's only the speed of a single file over HTTP that is a problem.

the question here isn't about uploading over torrents or anything else. i want to know if anyone else can successfully upload at more than 32kb/s for a single file via HTTP to websites like filefront and sendspace.
