Airtel Broadband - low speeds

recetly got this 384 Kbps.. unlimited connection.. .but the speed is very varyig.. even in limewire.. spes 20-55 kbps.. what 2 do?? what should i tell the airtel guy.. is airtel shared connetion?? do i have to right to ask for always 384 Kbps line?? plz help..
 
well according to airtel rules it should be minimum 32 and max 48 so means between 32 to 48 but i am talking about direct download not torrents
 
but is this speed downgrade intensionally done by airtel.... can we get constnt 45-48 kbps.. ?? is problem with airtel hardware?
 
you should max to 48 ..if not contact airtel..

you also saying you are touchin 55, then that means its good speed.

Also check your speed via some http downloading not by stupid stuff like p2p or torrents. p2p or torrents will never give speed unless there are seeders or private tracker.
 
you should get 48KBps on direct http download with some good server...

Try downloading something like Linux image or things like that ....

if you not getting 45-48 in that case then you can complain and no connection provide full speed for p2p downloads.. it always depends on seeders and trackers...
 
try the airtel speed test at speed.airtelbroadband.in .. make sure that ur not downloading anything while the test runs.
