Finally today I got the call from Airtel regarding ebay Diwali offer. The lady there provided me a customer id and asked me to recharge with Rs. 160 before installation can take place. She told me once I recharge I will get a call from them in the evening and installation will take place tomorrow.

I was hoping to recharge online but when I tried to Register there it says either my registration number or my customer id is wrong. I called the customer care and confirmed that I was putting in correct details.

I tried one more time and it din't work. So I went out to purchase so called 160 Rs. voucher but I was informed there is no such voucher. The guy there asked me to recharge with two vouchers of Rs 100 each and told me that balance amount will automatically get adjusted. So I recharged using those.

I tried calling customer care again and its not working. Anything else I can do except simply waiting for their next phone call? What's the procedure like?
 
Yep I am getting a new connection. Won it as a diwali gift from ebay. They supposedly activated my account today.

Update: I got sms regarding various recharges and now my balance is 1950 Rs. Looks like ebay deposited 1750 Rs in my account. But no phone calls today. So what now?
 
Well i dont know if i should write this in this Thread,but as one of the person is getting a new connection so thought i should write what i have expirenced in the last 8-9 months with Airtel connection.When it works then sure it is one of the best or may be the best compared to dish and tatasky(i have 4 connections 2 tatasky 1 dish and 1 Airtel).But since last 1 and a half month,i am in a bizzare situation,for some reason my Airtel pictures are blurry and and 30% channel's not working i have called atleast 12-13 times to airtel customer service for the same and i have around 9 complain number but of no use none of the airtel service executive have come to place to sort out the problem and now i am going insane and planning to get another tatasky connection which is by far the best when comes to after sales service.
 
Sorry I forget to update the thread. My connection was activated and working fine unti now. Picture quality is excellent. They provided me New value pack free for 3 months by mistake but later on corrected it and i had to get my own subscription. all in all its good.
 
Bumping this thread. I have a query. I hope sombody can help me. If I activate Super value plan for one year can I migrate to a different plan later (say after a week's time)?
