Airtel Doubles Unlimited Plan speed?

Wrong... :bleh: :bleh: even AIRTEL 256 UL users get double speed during night.... I am an AIRTEL customer & speed's do double during night hrs... Though they don't exactly reach 512kbps but remain close to it with my torrent downloads....;)

On the topic.... I have not seen any speed bust or any speed down on my connection since last two days... its giving me same speed as it was a month ago... :mad: may be its just metroes they are checking & rest of India is on low priority... By the way I am in MP....:hap2:
 
well today i had this big convo on the help line coz my speed went down to 64 KPbs on a 256 kbps line . they were like that there are testing going on due to which am facing these low speeds and the same earthqauke reason again was given. though after yelling at them for a while they improved my speed then and there from their end to 170 - 180 kbps. so am downloading @ 17 - 18 now. God when will it be better .

^^ Home 999 users in Delhi also get double speeds at night including me. In day the speed hovers around 25-30 and at night between 50-60 KB. However off late the network is throttling aroung 20 KB during the day and around 45 KB during the night.... after the quake.
 
for me i delhi it is not even crossing 30 with the 999 plan . in the day it will be close to 17 - 20 and in the night it goes up to 30 max. Just that 2 days back i had that spike when it when upto like 60 - 62 but that lasted only for a hr or so...

no one is really happy if you had taken the pain of reading some of the last posts.... 2mbps to download how much dude ???
 
yesterday I tried the mtnl 2Mbps line I tried downloading diff stuff from varoius sites but the speed for a single connection could not reach above 20k but when 4 to 5 download are started simultaneously the speed reach the full potential....

this is mainly due to diff. in the servers and the traffic on them when u downloaded..

Today the max. d/l speed i'm getting is 18 KB/s on a 256UL connection!!:mad:
 
lol.. u guys atleast get 20-30kbps(Airtel).. some pblm here.. happens quite often.. the link lite blinks every 2 secs.... my dload speed is lyk 0.1kbps!!.. max 5kbps.. 256k mornin.. 512k, nite,, ,, called customer care.. they came.. replaced de modem,, it worked fine. the pblm came bak again, they changed the modem again, and it worked fine.. this happened 2 more times. keepin this as a reason, i was seriously gonna trash themm.. never able to reach them for the past 2 days.. guys wat do u think the pblm is?

i doubt all servers will be so loaded that u wont get more than 20k/s on them.. im sure he tried atleast some popular servers that have enuff bandwidth
 
hehe u underestimate mtnl dude... :bleh:...

@ seed.. hmm. i get full 2mbps speeds on a single rs download... ... some ftp's gave me full speeds too.. but sadly its the public torrents that never go above 100kbps.. ..

COULD BE BUT THEN , he could never have got good speeds on all 5 simultaneously had there been a prob with his connection also na. kind of funny.
