Hi Guys, forgive my ignorance but I have not been keeping up with gprs/edge stuff on airtel. The last time probably an year or more ago I had enabled NOP for 150 bucks for 15 days. The procedure was to call up cc and ask them to enable disable it and the charge was 5 bucks a day. So my gprs was disabled for a long time

So today out of curiosity, I just tried accessing google from my N73 browser with airtel LIVE profile and it worked with E showing up in network. This never happened before. So does this mean Airtel has enabled GPRS by default for all post paid customers. How do the charges work, per kb/per day, does anybody know?

ok, thanks for that, I was wondering how come it was suddenly working without me asking for it enabled. But better to get NOP at 5 bucks a day no? Is NOP still available? 15p 10kb is like extortion. ow.

I am using Airtel Mobile Office since 10 months for Rs.7 a day. In start, it was Rs.12 a day.

My friends using new airtel prepaid are made to give Rs.15 a day.

I read somewhere that they have stopped the NOP service altogether! I was using it few months ago and it was quite cheap (2 rs. per day)!
However, for GPRS/Edge there are three variants IIRC:
a:> On Postpaid or Prepaid, 15p /10 kb using just airtel live
b:> Mobile Office on Postpaid, 399 bucks per month with 100 MB free or 499 with 500 MB free
c:> Mobile Office on Prepaid, 15 bucks per day but unlimited download (99.99% sure about this)

The offers vary in different states. In kerala we only have two options. Mobile Office at 250 per month unlimited usage or airtel live at 15ps/10kB

The schemes which I mentioned are for the mumbai circle :)

In bangalore/Karnataka

NOP= Airtel online - Rs. 5/day in prepaid.
In post paid Rs 99/month
No data limit, but downloads capped at 3 mb max.

To activate send "AO" to 6333
To deactivate send "AO CNCL" to 222

For postpaid users you have to call cc and ask them to activate it....
