a friend of mine got the Airtel USB CDMA internet model with his new laptop.

and you need to buy some sim card to make it work ..he doesnt plan to use it as he already has a wired net connection at home ..:)
the exact model no. is SXC 1080 . and he plans to sell it off .
the price printed on the box is Rs.3999. Which i think isnt the real market price..
thats why i wanted to ask you guys out here whats the current market price for the same and how much should one expect for a opened but unused USB modem.
 
Are you sure its a CDMA device?

AFAIK, airtal has a GSM network, so it won't make much sense selling things that are not working on their own network.
 
Not sure if its cdma device or gsm but i think its might be gsm if u say airtel doesnt have cdma.
Will have to check that out.
I am sure that model no. Is SCX 1080 .does anyone have a idea how much it costs ?

a dealer was telling me its around rs.2800 :P.

so can my friend expect atleast 2300-2400 for it ?
 
ooops just checked out the modem personally and its not airtel but

Tata Indicom cdma modem SXC 1080.

anyone knows how much it costs in the market ?
