albums appear different - ipod touch

hey.. i need a solution on this.. even though the album is the same and even the album name is same they appear as seperate albums.. i have an ipod touch 2g.. what can i do?

That's because the creepy iTunes marks "Album+Artists", I hate it too. That's why I keep artist name in the song title e.g. "01 Piya Tora (Female) - Shubha Mudgal" and leave the artiste column uniform for the entire album.

Could be many reasons.

In most cases, I've seen slight misspellings, or an extra space, or even one letter being in a different case. ('Lungs' vs 'lungs', etc) cause this to happen.

It could also be what sarang mentioned, of course. For compilation albums, I put 'Various Artists' as Artist and include artist name in title.

If an album contains songs by different artists you can either a) put "Various Artists" tag in "Album Artist" while keeping the original Artist's name intact or b) mark the album as a compilation under Options tab.

i did just the above yesterday.. +1^ names all album artists as various... all in order now.. thanks all..

Tag the songs using Tag&Rename.. and u don't need to worry abt anything. That's what I have been doing for quite sometime.
