Alcatel has finally launched their new Android smartphones in India. Dubbed the Alcatel One Touch Idol and the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra, both these smartphones are packing Mediatek's dual core MT6577 chipset. In addition, the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra comes packing with a high resolution HD display, while the Alcatel One Touch Idol comes with a slightly lower resolution qHD display. Alcatel One Touch Idol Specifications
The Alcatel One Touch Idol is priced at Rs. 15,800. The smartphone lacks 1 GB of RAM, and the battery is small as well. It is priced as high as quad core phones.
Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra Specifications
Sadly, despite the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra costing Rs. 21,000 the phone comes with a small 1800 mAh battery, no 1080p video recording and a dual core Mediatek processor. At this price, the Samsung Galaxy Grand makes much more sense. However, the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra has 1 GB of RAM and a 4.7 inch HD AMOLED display, and the super slim 6.45 mm thin profile going for it.
