OK, this has to be the most addicting game since Diablo 2.
Think Crusader meets Diablo meets Serious Sam meets Resident Evil :O (stay the hell away if you have an addictive personality)

It has a main campaign, a Survival mode and multiplayer support as well.

The Survival mode is pure gaming awesomeness.
The player is dropped in a small map with horde after horde of aliens thrown at you and which keep increasing in numbers. Also you gradually keep levelling up and gain access to better and better weapons from pistols and energy rifles to flame throwers and rocket launchers until you simply can't hold out anymore trying to beat your old score (fun!).

Also the entire game can be played using only your mouse, perfect for laptops.

To me Titan Quest was better than Diablo but thats me.

Also played Alien Shooter a while back, but got bored after a while.

Anyway I liked Titan Quest because it was some how different with the mythical setting and the excellent story.

Haven't gotten around to trying Aquaria yet.

After this thread, I have convinced myself to reinstall Diablo 2
Titan Quest is nice and all, but there's something about Diablos' dark 2D world that sucks you in.

Wish Blizzard would give us Diablo 3 with uber hi-res 2D sprites already...

Shadowground is like playing Doom 3 from top view, decent game.

I tried the demo on steam about a year back... About 2 weeks back i saw the game retailing for 299 on music world... bad i dont have an internet connection otherwise i would have picked it up... Its a decent multi player game... Talking about shadowgrounds here
