Want a decent all-in-one (print/scan/copy) for home use. Narrowed down to HP PSC 1410 and Epson CX1500. Cant make up my mind between the two.
Both are similarly priced (around 4.5k) with Epson being a tad cheaper. Epson offers 2yr warranty over HP's 1yr warranty. HP offers faster printing speeds, but thats not a concern. I wont be taking many print outs and hence its not that big an issue.
Some points worth considering for the comparision:
1. Cost of ink cartridge. Epson is a little cheaper (for the original) but i am not sure of the quantity of the cartridge.
2. Epson has an optical resolution of 48-bit for scanning, against HP's 36-bit. WOuld it make much difference?
3. Epson - 2yr warranty. HP - 1yr warranty.
4. HP offers 50-400% for 'copy' options. Epson specs doesnt say much about it.
ANy input from u guys wud be helpful..
