Well I just bought a socket 754 A64 chip today. Assumed it to be a newcastle. When I came back home and put it in, I was shocked to find that it was actually an E6 series Lancaster. These thingies are actually notebook CPUs and awesome overclockers. Currently burning it in at 2.6GHz :). Screenie attached. Socket 754 ain't dead yet :P.

because he has a 754 mobo and did not want to sell that..... I guess he wants to keep 2 systems now...

and a new Opty 165 + DFI + 1900XTX
 
he told me he's not buying dfi and opty. Will use his new 3000+ in his dfi ( its s754), and use the xtx in his office rig.
