It all began as a series of unfortunate events on 16/05/06(well i realised that later)...working as an intern at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital (LTMGH) i have to reach wards by 8 am sharp... but mondays i have my emergency(means i have to work for atleast 28hrs straight) but this monday all interns were on strike...so instead of 8 am i had to reach wards by 7 am.
On reaching the wards the first order of the day is always blood collection for routine investigations...but tuesdays are post-emerg which means atleast 15 blood collections...
So this is how it began...first i couldnt find good veins on a couple of patients and had to prick them twice(which sucks! ) it took me almost 2 hrs doin this.. then i was told i had to accompany a pt to Kasturba Hosp for HBOT (hyperbarbic oxygen therapy) and unfortunately for me the pt had been started on a drip of blood(no intern wants to accompany such a pt)
On reaching Kasturba Hosp...got the pt in the ward and was waiting for the blood drip to be over...when the drip was over i had to disconnect the blood line and while doin so since the 3way was a lil jammed i spilt some blood on my hands n the floor...
Being a lil excited as i blood on my bare hands i rushed to the washroom to wash my hands...and while i did that my phone fell in a bucket of water!!
And that was that...the display was gone and my phone(nokia 6255) was making weird noises..i removed the battery n the memomy card...i thought that this was the end of the phone...
While gettin the pt back to LTMGH all i could think of was the phone....after the pt was back in the ward..i rushed to the nokia service centre at phoenix mills....but as luck would have it i was fined for speeding...was doin 72kmph on the 40kmph flyover!! 200 bucks wasted!!
Then after waiting for almost 1.5hrs at the service centre i was told there was no hope for my phone but they would try and asked me to get back in 3 days
Out of curiosity i called nokia care today and i was in for a pleasant suprise...not only was my phone working but i wasnt charged a rupee!!
And this was a phone which had mist all over the lcd n the camera yesterday!!
Heck i didnt even loose my data!! Truly amazing i must say!! :hap2: :hap2:
