Allwinner, the manufacturer of the popular A10 and A13 named chipsets that are in use in numerous budget Chinese tablets (and Indian rebrands, and in other countries too I believe) has just announced their next generation dual core and quad core chipsets based on ARM Cortex A7 CPU architecture. In addition, the chipsets are optimized for Android 4.2 (and beyond) operating system. Read on for complete details:
Allwinner A20
The Allwinner A20 is the dual core chipset among the two new chipsets being introduced by the Chinese chipset manufacturer. The A20 is much like it's predecessor, the A10. Packing similar specifications such as 2160p video playback and ARM's Mali MP400 GPU, the A20 is proving to be the new budget tablet chipset, as well as for Linux hobbyists.
It's specifications and features are:

Allwinner A31
Moving on to the flagship Allwinner A31 chipset, this chip packs twice as much firepower as it's younger sibling (and quite literally at that). Video decoding goes up to 4k resolution, the chipset packs four cores, all based on the power efficient ARM Cortex A7 design.
It's specifications and features are:
The Allwinner A31 packs a beefier PowerVR SGX544 GPU in place of a dual Mali400. Overall, we hope to see this chipset powering the new sub-$250 Chinese tablets. Hopefully that also means some good Indian (rebrand) products at exciting prices for us.
