altec lansing 121i or creative sbs 370? which one is better? i know there are better speakers but for now please suggest between these two only.
 
the atp 3 is good if u can afford them^^
out of the 2 u mention, the creative is better no question about it..
the creative inspire series u shud stay away from though

Yes ATP-3 is the best. But at Rs 1100 SBS 370 is good too. I am using these speakers and they sounds really nice. Though I am not an audiophile
 
Altec Lansing ATP3's is by far the best 2.1 setup avaible in the market at the best price. Though if you are still want to go from the above two then i would recommend creative SBS 370...but keep in mind the speakers of creative turn to distort at high volumes after a while.
 
extended my budget :hap2: now considering between logitech X-230 and altec lansing atp3, so what do you say.
 
get the altec lansing vs421.. hope i got the model number right. its the model which is replacing the ATP3.. more like an improved atp3.. costs jus a lil more than atp3
 
Ordered ATP3 for Rs 3020 from indiatimes today :) . VS4121 is too costly man atleast Rs 700 more :( , i dont know if its that much better than the ATP3. BTW do i get 1 year company warranty, cos in the listing only 1 month seller warranty is mentioned.

Why on earth wud you do that? :S You cud have picked it up from a shop for much less (arnd 2.7k) and wud have got a proper warranty from Altec Lansing..

I wud never trust those idiots at indiatimes since many ppl have had bad experience with their products. And since they are giving just a one month seller warranty is proof enuf of their shady business tactics..:no: They procure the product from unscrupulous sources and tht is why the company doesnt extend its warranty support for such units... If something goes wrong after a month or so, u'll have to pay for all the repairing expenses..:no:

A few years back, there was news of fake atp3s doing the rounds of the markets since the company had stopped producing them and some low grade chinese companies were making their replicas...:no:

i was told about this by my trusted shop owner (PnP) at lammy...at tht time evn i was out thr to get an ATP3..:no:

So its always better to get the unit thoroughly checked personally from a reputed shop with proper warranty and all...

I called up indiatimes support today, they told me the product will be genuine, else they will take action regarding this. :) Hope they keep their words.
 
The support guy said if there is a company waranty with the product it will be there, though I have some doubts regarding this cos it's never mentioned on the site :( , but they confirmed to me earlier that the bill will be given. :)
 
^Well, i sincerely hope u get a genuine product and the warranty is valid...:)

However, i always prefer buying electronic stuff from a shop where i can thoroughly check it for myself and only buy after i'm satisfied tht i'm getting a genuine deal..

Btw, is tht the giftmate thing bcos of which u r buying from indiatimes? :p
