Folks,

I am looking for an IEM which can complement my Shure SE535. Can you guys suggest earphones which have quality bass and treble which is not rolled off ?

My budget max 15k. Mostly I listen to tamil, telugu, and hindi film songs...

Thanks in Advance!

Why do you want to replace Shure SE535, they are the best. triplefi are not that good also fitting problem is very common with triplefi. Currently i am using Shure SE535 and i am very satisfied.

I think you need to replace your music source instead of earphones, may i ask which player you are using with Shure SE535.

I will suggest you to go with cowon j3 or HIFIMAN hm602, if you want to fully enjoy your Shure SE535.

You can also go through headfi, where you can see Shure SE535 always performs better than triplefi.

^^^ Performance is a very relative term....Dont make such vague comments.

He is looking for a complementary iem, not replacing 535

Ha! Finally two people with SE535.

@lavii,

Would you mind elaborating why you find SE535 to be the best you have used? Where are you located? And would you mind sharing what source and other IEMs you currently have and also, where did you buy it and for how much?

I've been looking for someone with hands on experience of SE53X for sometime now and hence the curiosity.

Head-fi is not a singular entity. I did read ljokerl's review, who is not so enthusiastic about either SE530 / 535. That's at least one experienced pair of ears who has heard close to ~ 200 IEMs by now.

@OP

For complementary signature, TF10 works best - it is V-shaped, thick sounding, good at both ends. If you are not averse to importing stuff, FX700 is another good choice to consider, but would set you back by $270-350 depending on whether you opt for open box and how you choose to buy from Japan (Not sure if Musica Acoustics sells it anymore, but Seyo-Shop, perhaps)

Yo! thank you guys

@lavii,

I never thought of replacing my Shure's, they are too good for mid's...My source is iPhone4

@esanthosh,

Yes I ordered for a triple fi

@esanthosh

I have used Philips 9800, shure 425, westone2 in earphones, in headphones i have denon d1100, sennheiser hd25-1 ii, my source is cowon j3, also have fiio e7 headphone amplifier, getting hifiman 602 and ibasso next month.

Well buddy i have spent a lot of money for the right choice, i have bought shure and denon from india distributor, paid about 26k for shure 535

I have auditioned triplefi, ck10 many other high end earphones, sound is a very personal thing, it can't not be described or judged by graphs that i have learnt.

at the end i find shure 535 very rich and detailed and wide sound stage

I am from noida, also i am about to add shure 940 to collection very soon

Let me know your collection for earphones/headphones and source. it good to talk with the people with same taste.

Sound indeed is a very personal subjective thing. I have preference for bright IEMs, but I am never averse to try different kinds of signatures. We had been talking about IEMs in the http://www.techenclave.com/audio-zone/random-iem-headphone-rants-184372.html thread and before that in the http://www.techenclave.com/audio-zone/top-tier-iem-war-do-participate-177940.html thread. Hope you can also participate more in the discussions and share your views.

My collection is all over the place. See my head-fi profile under the same ID for all the details :)

Welcome to the group Lavii and feel free to share your impressions in the threads mentioned above by esanthosh.

they are the best.
One sure thing i've learnt about audiophile products is that there is no such thing as 'Best' or any other superlatives while describing a product. Its all very relative and subjective. A product is only the best if you haven't tried anything better than it, which only means it's simply time to upgrade and that you haven't tried everything. ;)

@ bennysachdev

Thanks buddy,

@ mukulymn

I am getting 940 from Indian distributor, he will make these available soon, don't know the price yet. Shure is expensive in India but at least warranty can be claimed.

If anyone interested in 940, keep in touch I will update for the price soon.

I am glad to see peoples here having great love for quality sound.

Now I looking for good headphone amplifier, any recommendation guys.

I am very much addicted to Asian underground/ Asian massive, lounge, fusion music, anyone here having same interest as talvin singh, Karsh kale, midival punditz ….

Wouldn't be cool to hijack this thread so why don't you start another one and we can continue the discussion there just to keep things clean. :)
