I disagree. While that might be a good thing for the OP, the way he jumped in to fix an issue with a competitor seems a bit underhanded and opportunistic. I'd have thought that having competition in the maket section would be a good thing but this ongoing rivalry between pristinenote+mediahome vs amarbir feels ugly for TE. Also, iirc the only price benefit for buyers resulting from this was the small price drop on the M2's :(

Now, I'm not defending amarbir (in fact I have found him to be disappointing on many ocassions too) but Gautam isn't being that much of a gentleman here either.

Have you ever been stuck in a situation where you have been marooned? Left stranded for a shelter when all the houses have collapsed around you? Caught in rains late in the night with no help in sight? Someone reaches out for help! Anyone can look into an event, by the way your their mind perceives. What is in it for someone? Why is he trying to help? What are we and what we shall become only time will unravel. You will know in time, what we speak from our heart viz a viz our teeth. When I had replied to this thread I didnt even know that it will generate so much compassion. I did exactly what my heart told me to do. I didnt think about the way you have spoken about ulterior motives.

Getting down to the business. We have been in TE for not more than 2 months. You would have people who liked us for our service and approach. The one's who have dealt with us , will stand by our service and tell you that we have always conducted ourselves in a professional way . We do not call people/dealer names, nor indulge in any fraudulent claims. We do not conduct ourselves by the standards set by others, we live by our own ethics.

There will always be two ways of looking at things. Do you think people do not have problems? I stay out of the country for most of my times. However that doesnt mean that my staff will not conduct themselves in TE, ebay, our website or other places.

What oozed out of my heart, you made it a commercial venture. I just feel bad. I do not wish to take if further to avoid an acrimony. I didn't jump on to this thread, I just happen to read it today. Why should a member have to complain about it in a thread? In any case the person who should be responding to the thread is least concerned. A vociferous outcry should have been humbled, by the said dealer and not by us.

Why @tiwari, we will help any member, whom we can earnestly help. We will help if we can. About 2 years back in Jaben, Singapore I has gingerly asked for sample comfy foam tips from the staff however they said no. When Uncle Wilson heard me, without asking a question he gave me 4 comfy tips and asked me to share it with people in India. I gave them to a member here (kept a pair for myself) in Navi Mumbai, who had some problem with his ear wearing ear sleeves. I offered to help tiwari because, I have been treated kindly by people and friends. I did exactly what l learned in my life. Notwithstanding this, we have always been pro customer. Its just that it came out here in a thread. I see TE members as my friends.

Personally I feel moderator who happen to be a dealer is just way too much power but then again if you think about it, dealers have a bad habit of spoiling the forum's name. A moderator who happen to be a dealer is just what we need to set an example of how dealers ought to be behave with customers from the forums. Stepping in like this might not be deemed "civilised" but neither is making up excuses like that. I am sure that's not the reason why Gautam offered to help. The words are framed differently so when you reading something, you know who's telling the truth or not. If you can't do business properly, somebody will step in and do it himself. Its called business. And besides , if the the stuff+ service+ all that is good enough, does it matter?

You can have a look at PristineNote's introduction thread and take a look at Amarbir's reply there, just posting here for your convenience....

Congrats ,

Let the Ball Roll ,Come In And start The Engine ,When You Need Support In North i am a pm away .You Are Fortunate to be in a town that has all the facilities like sea port ,Massive foreign post office etc etc .We Poor Mortals Are Tucked So Far Off in chandigarh and getting stuff is a pain here .We Have Always Wanting To Do Business With Like Minded Dealers .Still We Have Managed To Pull off a Good Show Considering Our City And Business

To me that doesnt sound gentlemanly either, but then again thats my point of view just like you had yours. Their conduct takes a backseat to customer service.

On the other hand, if because of PristineNote's offer of help, Amarbir tries to mend his ways with OP and feels obliged to improve his customer service, who wins ?

Nobody is losing anything because of that, while OP may actually be satisfied this way. This would in-turn only benefit TE and its members.

Amarbir wrote all that ???

Wow.. Stooped under the ground now did he..?

O well.. some people will never learn.

Congrats ,

I apologize for my ignorance, but I don't see anything derogatory in this comment, if anyone could make me understand?

BTW things are going OT so lets try to stick to the topic. If someone wants to discuss anything about this issue that is being talked about it'd be better if a new thread is created for that. :)

Exactly my point, i saw what you didnt see. To each his own and that too doesnt matter if OP's problems are solved, towards which PristineNote has extended a helping hand.

EDIT : Amarbir's comment wasnt derogatory, it was un-gentlemanly. Dont add inappropriate words :)

I appreciate your insight and opinons regarding audio gear much more than I do of any dealer on TE till date and your dealings and service have been quite good as can be seen by a noticeable lack of complaints regarding you in the forum.

However, both you and Amarbir have been making insinuations and negative comments against each other more and more especially since you became the dealer for Brainwavz products. Even the quoted post calls for a "vociferous outcry" directed at the "said dealer" and you equate a delay in sending the tips to a natural disaster while simultaneously praising yourself about professionalism and standards. Your phrasing is far more eloquent but this kind of post is exactly that same thing that annoys me the most about Amarbir too.

I feel that dealers as with moderators need to maintain a level of dignity that's not expected of ordinary members regardless of how much they are involved in the TE community. Also, please take this post as an attempt at constructive criticism on my part :P

I agree with you entirely on the point you are making. But while Amarbir's failings as a dealer aren't anything new all this praise for Pristinenote isn't that great either. The last dealer who people liked so much for his professionalism was KMD after all :D

No seriously, that comment was one of the few positive comments he has made regarding Pristinenote aside from the usual insinuations. Or maybe I'm not looking that much into it.

@eternoMind : My question was targeted more towards Spacescreamer than you.

No point trying to analyze Amarbir's thinking. It is totally different. God knows what he meant when he wrote to PristineNote. Ball rollling, start engine, sea port, MASSIVE post office, mortals. Like minded dealers. Pull off a good show.

Probably a weirdly capitalized rant or just a loony bin post. Nothing novel though, coming from the farmer.

I like Pristine's relpy to amarbir's comment on that thread. That's how one should handle such exotic comments.

Coming back to the point, I hope certain comment don't discourage Pristine in doing certain actions like this. Infact, I encourage such good gestures provided its done right without dissing anyone. I don't know if you know, but few dealers have a history of certain blunders in handling distribution+ payment and made a wrong impression that discouraged them to ship any stuff in India. Dealer's actions and choice of words/ways of business puts many people even from shipping stuff officially. Its only actions like this that can make some change. Its small and perhaps might be "insignificant", but just don't let it discourage you. Do more. Help people more. Its good for business and good for the forums. I had a faith in a particular dealer in TE whom I believed he can do business without doing something wrong but one of this actions turned that out to be corrupted easily. Be a role model for dealers.

i appreciate prestinenote helping, be it as a member who can help or be it as anything related to business.

some dealer helping on generosity(or be it even opportunity) is much better than other dealer not caring after promising.

there will be many in our forum who have had and will have good rapport with amarbir; they are valued customers for him and amarbir is human. We can not generalize his character as much as we can not take that rapport as a benchmark for out deals.

Despite of all jack assery last year regarding providing better customer support after leaving TE etc etc, i dont see any improvement in his conduct when it comes to dealing with issues of customers.

He boasts of having n number of associates etc when he has to market his products but he comes to singularity when it comes to addressing problems. I think that is complete BS mR. amarbiR. yoU shalL noT takE creditS oF yoU havinG associateS anD workerS iF yoU caN noT emploY theM wheN iT comeS tO solvinG issueS.
It has been a tradition with you to oversell. 1st you oversold products promising fake stock when there weren't any and now you are overselling customer support when there isn't any into existence so far.
