Hi,

This is the deal for today.

1) Is this a good trimmer? I have pimples and am looking for a decent quality electric trimmer.
2) If i buy this, will i get warranty from Panasonic India?
3) If i use Aramax shipping, how much will the taxes+customs be?
4) Will i get its blades in India?

It's better you buy trimmer in India only with warranty and support , or buy the hitachi rm-1500ud , am using it from a year no problems at all , not even changed the blades :)

I have been Eyeing this Shaver too for a while. But it has always been $99-$109 so how exactly is this a Deal of the Day item?
No warranty in India and No blades in India. Shipping would be around 800 or so but no Customs i think. Finaly Landing price would be more than 5.K easily which dsnt make it that much worth while.

I have been using Philishave HQ 7000 Series shaver for more than a year. It is available locally with a 2 year warranty.

Better opt for those types. Cost me about 4.5k then...

Please people do some research before posting useless comments with half baked knowledge. This was an Electric Wet shaver, which gives good results even for those with Hard , thick beards/Hair Growth.
Phillishave Line of products was discontinued on 2009 since phillips now just focusses on Norleco Series.

So Philishave HQ 7000 is better just cuz you have been using it and it comes with 2 yrs warranty? How do you come to the conclusion that its better than the one metioned by the OP? So yeah i am not on drugs or being paranoid, but if you are giving an advice please mention some concrete points as to why X product is better than Y rather than just stating it.
As i have already stated the its discontinued you wont even find replacement parts let alone claim the responsibility.
I know no one can stop you from posting but i request you to post sensibly so that members can actually benifit from your post. It would have worthwhile if you would have explained what blade tech the shaver uses, how often have you used it & the shaving results etc.Instead you just said that its better to opt for some outdated product which translates into a incorrect advice!

Look mate... I am not bashing nor arguing with you over anything...

I never said that the Philishave was better than the featured product. I just said that it was a better buy coz it carried a local warranty (atleast it carried a local warranty for me!). There is a difference between the two.

Now, as far as availability of spares is concerned, I got new 7000 Series blades for my shaver ~ 2 months ago from Philips ASC. So, non availability of spares is out of the question.

Yep, I had to pay for them as they were worn out by usage and hence not covered by warranty/guarantee.

And anyway, even the Panasonic trimmer is not gonna get support here in India.

So, u see... parts for Philishaves are still very much available... U cannot say the same about the Panasonic one... Now who exactly is giving wrong info here...??

I am not blaming you. I cannot expect u to know whether parts are available or not. In fact, I know this only coz my own shaving heads were replaced just 2 months ago!!

So, all I want to say is that when people post, unless u are sure they are wrong with facts, don't spout at them. Besides, you cannot always be right either.
