Just cause they're Dominators doesn't mean they're awesome. Even the current XMS3 and Vengeance serie rams do 9-9-9-24 @ 1600Mhz, and this does a measly 9-9-9-24 @ 1333Mhz :\

@RD274, maybe the IC'S are diff for each.

Product Description:

The DOMINATOR is the ultimate performance memory solution. Limited to only extremely high memory speeds, the Corsair DOMINATOR only uses highly screened IC’s to guarantee performance. Using ultra efficient Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) cooling technology. With removable heat sinks, the DOMINATOR modules can even be outfitted with additional upcoming accessories with enhanced features.

That part is true, every memory manufacturer buys IC's in lots and screens them, and depending on the test results, the best go at the top, and rest at the bottom.

chetansha i really feel that recently the prices for the rams have gone down so much overall that its like very easy and cheap to upgrade or get loads of rams on ur board

i also feel that SSD will also go way down in prices soon coz all have realised that SSD are only worth for booting drives and overall the HDD are much better for price

Agreed but don't you think that this must be extremely old stock to be running at only 1333Mhz 9-9-9-24? Current day vengeances/xms3 rams probably have newer and better ics which would make it comparable to this, even with overclocking.

Fair enough for the Dominator series. But can you compare old high performance ram versus new medium performance ram in a world where technology gets outdated every 9 months?

If you like the RAM kit then buy it, but if it can't do 1800Mhz at good timings on a reasonable voltage like what your Vengeance can already do then don't tell me I told you so :P

Don't go by what they say. Just look at the specs.

They run at 1333Mhz 9-9-9-24 on 1.6V!!

My G.Skill Snipers does 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 on 1.25V. :P

There are better ram kits out there and cheaper at the same time than these old kits. Corsair's own Vengeance series has better specs.
