Any suggestions for good NVMEs(2TB)? or I'll just get another crucial MX500(so reliable already have 3 of those lol)

Silicon Power P34A60 is a TLC drive Gen3 with 5-year warranty. I'd go with that.

My first SSD was a 128GB mSATA for about 5k, almost 10 years back.

Be careful with Adata S70 Blade, the device is fast for sure but amazon.com is filled with reports of drive failure after few months/year. In fact if you go to amazon.com & sort the reviews time wise for S70 blade then almost 70-80% of the reviews are 1/2 star mentioning drive failure within few weeks/months/year. That is also why I dropped my plans for getting this drive as reliability is much more important to me than speed when it comes to ssd/hdd.

This is concerning for sure, maybe the Innogrit IG5236 controller is to blame? Never heard of that. I'm seeing issues mostly in 2021 & 2022. Maybe they sorted it out by now. Also, another thing to keep in mind is that many people never review the products, so those are potential 5* which are missing. Still, a higher chance of failure than competition is not good.

As an alternative, I have seen Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 2TB to be sold for around 12k (5000MBps one). Then there's KC3000 for 13k.

On amazon.com the reviews of S70 blade suggests serious manufacturing issues in almost entire 2022 batch. Unless amazon or md/vedant/prime/itdepot are selling 2023 manufactured batch this model seems risky. KC3000 seems better in everything & has good reviews as expected everywhere till now but then it uses phison E18 controller which is well proved.

why is sata more expensive than nvme drives?
sata m2's are almost the same or even more exoensive than a nvme drive.
is it because some people can only use sata on their devices?
