Do we really need this ?? Can't we wait for 1 day to read a book, use a gadget or something else ??

I believe that this should be used in the case of life threatening scenarios only for eg. delivery of life saving drugs at a critical moment etc. What do you guys think ?

It's just a concept. It won't happen anywhere, at least for the next ten years.

^ everything starts with an idea and as per Amazon they want to bring this model in within the next 4-5 years. Given the deep pockets of Amazon they might as well succeed earlier unless they abandon this project for something else.

Wonder how they will implement it. just like there is a ATC for guiding aircrafts, will there be something like that for drones?
otherwise we will have flipkart, snapdeal, infibeam, indiatimes drones flying into each other
there has to be some rules/guidelines
