Is there anyone sharing prime membership. I just need it for prime video and shopping , I already share netflix , zee5, hotstar and youtube with certain people . Wanted to know if someone is sharing prime as well

Anyways, sharing prime is a privacy issue since you can basically see shopping history of someone and their address details etc. I doubt anyone would like to share that with randoms.

Prime can be used for kindle, music as well. But you are right I guess even I won't be comfortable sharing with some random guy. But if people who know me want to share you can pm me we can discuss the feasibility.

From a sharing perspective, it is possible to use Prime shopping plan for 399 on one account and then share using another account for Video, Music, Kindle. That is what I might have done except that I have no interest in Prime Video, and I am happy with the shopping edition. Might work for someone else though.

I actually have the shopping edition but my wife needs the prime video and so I thought it's a waste to pay the full amount which includes the prime shopping as again.

Nope, Amazon doesn't refund subscriptions.

Edit: When you check the page, it does refer to refunds based on used benefits, so worth a try with customer care.

Just fyi, this can be avoided if prime video is activated on a smart TV running prime video app as that will work just like any other OTT app without any link to amazon acc used for activating the prime video app.

You can go for prime lite membership. You can use it for prime videos and prime shopping. However videos can be accessed on only one device. videos will have ads. Cost is Rs 799 for one year

Sadly with prime lite you can only watch videos on Mobile/TV and not on PC. Also only 1 device at anytime can watch. Not ideal to share at all.

I got the same for Rs 799 in March 2024. Another option is via Paytm, wherein you'll get a discount coupon & the effective price comes down to 799 from 999 a year

I just remembered sadly it is offer based. That is, if you see in your amazon account the option to get prime lite only then you can apply. It was not available for me too. But I called up the cust care & they were happy to offer it to me. You can also try that if you wish too. Not bad in 799 a year. You can watch all videos which Amazon prime video has to offer, shop as a prime member. But no access to Amazon Music.

It will be available after a few months after your regular Prime expires when Amazon is convinced that you are not going to renew it. At least that's what happened with me. Mine expired in March and I saw the offer in July.
