Does Amazon accept non international indian cc?
i tried to buy something from there and used a non international cc and it accepted the card :S

I didn't checkout completely though since i was wondering whether it will get charged or not. Also wondering what happens if they cant charge the card and ship the products? will they call me or something? :huh:
 
i had used my indian credit card couple of times last year. the product arrived alright without any additional verification or stuff.

now that verified by visa and mastercard secure code is there, this information might be out of date. but i dont think it will hurt to complete the transaction.

at the most your bank will decline to process it, and amazon wont ship the product.

I have the same kind of query. can we our CC in intl sites? what abt the conversion rate?
 
^ no probs, since this place is for helping poor souls like us :lol:

anyways, i went thru the card's rules and regulations and nowhere it is written it cant be used for international transactions. :S I was sure when i received the card that it was written only for indian transactions since this is a cashback card.

also saw that international transactions are charged 3.5 pc total extra as bank's fees and includes mastercard or visa's charges.

conversion rates are the rates given by visa and mastercard or cirrus etc.

not every site will accept a indian card. amazon does, many will accept paypal. but then newegg, tigerdirect etc dont accept any indian credit card.
 
yes u can use indian cc on amazon.. works just fine.. i just ordered a sony reciver for a friend in the states.. order went through and its being shipped as we speak.. :)
