Budget 21-30k AMD A8 or Core i3 in sub 25K range?

So, I am looking to buy a laptop for my wife. This will be used almost exclusively for MS Word and Powerpoint, browsing, and rarely movie watching. Absolutely zero gaming.
On checking online, I see quite a few AMD A8 based laptops in the sub 25K range. Can anyone tell me how they fare in the real world, in comparison with i3 based laptops?

I think A8 6410 should be sufficient for your aforementioned requirement.

As for the A8 processors, I own an A8-6600K on my desktop for last 8 months and am very much happy with it.
