AMD has announced their new Hawaii R7 and R9 series graphics cards at "GPU 14 Tech Day Event". The lineup includes five new GPUs at various price and performance points.
R7 series is for budget lower-end graphics cards while the R9 series includes high performance cards. The lowest model R7 250 is the budget GPU which is priced at $89 or less and comes with 1GB of GDDR5 RAM and scores over 2000 in 3DMark Firestrike benchmark.
The Radeon R7 260x is next with a price tag of $139 and 2GB of GDDR5 memory, scoring over 3700 in Firestrike.
The R9 270X is the mid-range offering with a $199 price tag and 2GB GDDR5 with Firestrike performance of over 5500. The R9 280X is priced at $299 with 3GB of GDDR5 and score of over 6800 in Firestrike.
The flagship GPU is R9 290X for which AMD has not announced any details yet. It is expected to pack 4GB of memory with price tag of $599.
The R9 series support DirectX 11.2 but its not confirmed for R7 series yet.
