AMD Athlon II X2,X3,X4 power requirements

Am putting together a system for general use. Am looking at an AMD system (with a 880G motherboard and 4GB RAM) and am trying to decide the CPU

1. No gaming. Will be mainly for Browsing and watching Media
2. Will use virtualisation to run multiple OS
3. Will also be used as a D/L rig overnight

Am looking at Athlon X2 245, X3 440, X4 635 as options

Leaning towards X4 as it may help in running virtual OS but the question is would the X4 consume significantly more power than the X2 or X3 variant? Will AMD cool and quiet help reduce the power consumption of X4?

Thanks for the replies. Will go in for a X4 either 635 or 640.
If I want a C3 stepping is there any way to identify the stepping information for a 635 from the box (640 is guaranteed to be C3)

Yeah go to AMD's main site and check out the BOX ID ~ it is like a giant barcode that tells you all about the processor ( version, TDP, stepping et all )

it is the OPN number ( BOX ID ), hope this helped :)
