AMD Cpu and Mobo for gaming......!!

Hello, Experts of Techenclaves !!

Last month i sold my intel P4 rig so now i am off from gaming so

I want to build basic rigs under my budgets for Lots of Gaming, HD movies, Musics....!!

so i planned to buy AMD cpu and mobo under 10k budget ( budget can be increased ;))

But i am confused with AMD CPU Phenom X2 555BE and Phenom X4 955 BE processor beacause 555 having unlocking features to turn into 955..:S

if i choose any one of them then which motherboard is best for that processor

and which brand i go for ASUS or Gigabyte which having 880 and higher chipset ?:huh:

rest of the hardwares i decided to purchase in this month ( GPU, PSU, RAM and Monitor) but above things i wants to solve first before i take........:ohyeah:

then Help me out guys as soon as possible.........:thanx: in advanced

I'll taking total rigs from Lamington road so please mention the price......!!:cool2:
 
The 555BE unlocking probability has diminished a lot.

So a PhenomII X4 955BE ~ 6.65k
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H ~ 4.1k/ MSI 880GM-E41 ~ 4.1k (With a long GPU 3 out of 5 SATA ports of the Gigabyte mobo may be unreachable)

Waht's your total budget for the rig?

Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H ~ 4.8k (Availability is a issue. SATA ports may be unusable with a long GPU)

MSI 880GMA-E45 ~ 5.2k

Still you didn't answer the question about your total budget. Whats your current config?

MOBO+RAM+CPU+PSU+HDD total i'll taking in 20k budget so that's why i told you the budget can be increased for Mobo and Cpu......!!

Budget for GPU? What monitor do u have or plan to buy. The GPU determines how much wattage PSU u need to buy.

Already have a cabby? If so which make?
 
Actually, I planned to buy Ati 5770 GPU next month and I already got deal of corsair vx 450 from TE member.
so which lcd monitor is suitable for this gpu.......???
& I don't have cabby please suggest in 2k budget....!!

So u have a 22k budget for MOBO+RAM+CPU+PSU+HDD+CABBY. I would suggest these

Components Description Price (INR)

Processor AMD Phenom II X4 955BE(3.2Ghz, 4 cores, 6MB L3 Cache) 6650

Motherboard MSI 880GMA-E45 5300

RAM Corsair 2*2GB Corsair 1333MHz 2500

HDD 500 GB Seagate 7200.12 1750

Cabinet NZXT Gamma 2200

PSU/SMPS Corsiar VX450 3500

Total 21900

So for the HD5770 you can get the Hawk version. Its not great for gaming a @HD resolution. U can either get a 22" monitor and play at lower resolution for few games or get a smaller 20" monitor and play @native resolution.

Else you can get the Sapphire HD6850 1GB GDDR5 ~ 10k for FullHD gaming. (Sapphire might have only 2 yrs warranty. So confirm with the reseller)

GPU MSI Hawk HD5770 1GB GDDR5 8200

Monitor Dell IN2020M/Benq G2220HD 6500/7500

HD6850 look no further and sacrifice no more.
 
Go to Prime ABGB. I've heard they are good from most posts but wait for Bombay members to stake it :).

Had a really bad experience wid them so i wudn't suggest u to buy from them... Buy from TheITWares aka E-Lounge instead...
 
Finally decided to go for Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H and AMD PHENOM X4 955BE.....!!
SO INSTEAD OF THIS ANY SUGGESTIOESTION GUYS.......
