Graphic Cards AMD HD6950 1GB or Nvidia GTX560

Hi,
AMD HD6950 1GB or Nvidia GTX560, from these two which one performs better in gaming.
I play Call of Duty series, Need for speed series,Assasins Creed series, Crysis series, Battle Field 3,etc at 1920*1080.
Price is not an issue.

The new gen AMD 7XXX series card are almost here .

Wait till next year feb :)

The reviews , Benchmarks of the mainstream 7970 seems nice . U would be better of with 7850 or 7950 .
 
Wait for entire 7xxx lineup to get released till Feb end 2012 and then decide accordingly. AMD has already come up with a winner here 7970... :) So one can be sure that all the card below 7970 are going to perform better than present generation cards. Price is not an issue to you, so you should wait.
 
yes but I doubt the HD 7870/7850 will be below 12-13k. In that price range I recommend the GTX 560 ti. Prime ABGB had one for sale at 13.5k a few days back

@OP, if you are in hurry then 6950 1gb or 6950 2gb(better-hawk edition) should be your choice.
 
Thanks guys for quick inputs. I am also amzaed by performance of HD7970.
But i do not think HD7850 will cost me around 11K as my budget for a GFX card is 10K or 11K Max.

In market section there are , HD6950 - 8 months old is @10K and GTX560 - 1 month old @ 9.5K.

Do suggest.

If you wanna land on the green side then hump on GTX560 Ti, if you wanna land on the Red Side then Land on to HD6950 2GB Edition which can be unlocked to 6970.

but it would be really nice, if u wait . if the cards are priced north.

then go for a 6950 2GB , where the price will also be reasonably low compared to now, u can get a new one :D !!!
 
Decision is good coz 6950 at 10K is steal atm, since 7XXX cards will be priced on bit higher side,

Decision is bad coz with 7XXX release comes a price drop in 6XXX series, so rather getting a used card you can get a new 6XXX card at low price when 7XXX comes out :), or even a low price deal on 6950 coz at that time people will be eager to upgrade to 7xxx series and sell off their 6xxx cards at much less price

Better wait for now as 7 series is on the shores , it will also make nvidia come with their latest Gf100 core

so prices will also come down ,Just wait and watch:)

thats 3 months of wait

count me in for 7 series as well ... 7950 is mine if they price it right but i doubt it will happen with $ going north with 54rs mark :(
what i could smell is 6950 will have comparison with 7850/7870 @ 15k range but these cards will hit indian shore in march so a good 3 months of agonizing wait with budget 15k + for sure

So now I am waiting for prices of 6xxx series cards to get reduced or for HD7770 if its less than 11K and performs better than 6850 or =6870
For time being will use my XFX 8800GT 512MB which now ages to 32 months.
 
If your budget is 10 k then,Get the HD 6950 which is being sold in TE Margket it is a very good deal.

Else using your XFX 8800GT will be a good decision and get a AMD HD 7XXX card when they are released.

I guess for 14K you will be getting a HD 7850 or 7870 which will be ~6950 in performance .

In either way you will be benifited. :P

I m waiting for 7xxx series releasing completely, hoping that will lower prices of 6xxx series or HD7770/7790 ~6870 @11k max.
If either things fails i guess there will be many more deals available by then.
