AMD Overclocking - Warranty Void?? is AMD trying to become Intel now?

Came across this video and in this video - the host claimed that if you increase the Memory operating frequency for AMD processors - it will void the warranty.

In the Video itself the host has claimed it as stupid move.

This has always been the case since the AMD FX days, but tbh it doesn't really matter. Unless you specifically mention while claiming warranty that your CPU was overclocked, I doubt AMD would do anything. And XMP is technically overclocking, as base DDR4 spec is only 2133Mhz. Anything over that is technically an overclock on DDR4 spec.

I wouldn't worry about it (running an all core overclock on my 3600XT plus 3200Mhz XMP RAM :p), it's just legal schpiel to cover their asses in worst case scenarios. Similar to how boost clocks are advertised as "up to" by AMD, Nvidia as well as Intel.
