AMD Ryzen™ Chipset Driver Release Notes 7.02.13.148

Release Highlights

  • New program support added.
  • Bug fixes.

Known Issues

  • After installing the AMD Chipset Installer version “7.xx.xx.xx”, users cannot install version “6.xx.xx.xx” or earlier.
    Workaround:
    • Un-install the latest version of the AMD Chipset installer (version 7.xx.xx.xx or later).
    • Delete the “Qt_Dependencies” folder located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\Chipset_Software\".
    • Install any older version of the AMD Chipset installer (version 6.xx.xx.xx or earlier).\
  • On a non-English OS, some driver names may appear in English.
  • Occasionally, Ryzen PPKG may not install or upgrade.
This driver package contains the chipset drivers for AMD Ryzen processors for best performance and energy-efficient operation on Microsoft Windows.

The following AMD CPUs are supported:

  • AMD Ryzen 9000 and 9000X3D Series Desktop Processors (Zen 4)
  • AMD Ryzen 7000 and 7000X3D Series Desktop Processors (Zen 4)
  • AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Desktop Processors (Zen 3)
  • 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Desktop, APUs & Threadripper (Zen 2)
  • 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen Desktop, APUs & Threadripper (Zen+)
  • AMD Ryzen Desktop, APUs & Threadripper (Zen)
  • 7th-Gen AMD A-Series Processors
The following AMD Chipsets are supported:

  • X870E, X870, B850,
  • X670E, X670, B650E, B650
  • X570, B550, A520
  • X470, B450,
  • X370, B350, A320,
  • X399, TRX40, WRX80
The Chipset Driver Download package includes:

  • AMD Chipset Drivers
  • AMD Ryzen Power Plans (required for UEFI CPPC2 in Windows 10 May 2019 Update)
But all AMD Motherboard manufacturers released AMD chipset driver ver:7.01.08.129 in their respective Support sections before this above release to mitigate the boot issues coming on all 9000 series chips or CPU failure on AMD's Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU. All manufacturers also released Bios updates to mitigate the above issues. But with AMD chipset driver versions: 7.01.08.129 & 7.02.13.148 (Though AMD chipset driver package contents lists AMD 3D V-Cache Performance Optimizer Driver in it) some users running with 9800X3D are saying that 3D V-Cache isn't running in their Task Manager. Under services, "amd3dvcacheSvc" its showing as Stopped. So they reverted to the earliest version that is AMD Ryzen Chipset Drivers 6.10.17.152 released on October 21st, 2024.

So that anybody who have AMD CPU's can use the drivers according to their need. My mobo used to crash a lot even after following all kinds of changes in reddit, AMD forums, MS forums etc.
I meant to ask the purpose of posting the information on this forum, not the purpose of information to exist.

Updates and release notes will be visible for everyone using the supported chipsets, in Ryzen Master and on the AMD website, and other aggregation journalist sites, and the websites you linked.

I posted because I noticed just now and likewise many might not have noticed about the release of the new AMD chipset drivers. So that's why I posted.
I don't even know about the existence of new AMD chipset driver version 7.01.08.129 released by motherboard manufacturer's on their support pages until now even though somebody in this forum posted about Bios updates for 9800X3D CPU failures. And now AMD chipset driver version7.02.13.148. So likewise I posted to inform them.
Also I noticed that after installing either chipset drivers or graphics card drivers 2 instances of Ryzen Master will be there in Registry which will become the cause of crashes for many owners of 6000 & 7000 GPU's because it happened to me as well. I also posted about this problem & its mitigation here in this forum.

I mean, in case it's a big issue that affects a lot of people, this should be posted in a relevant thread that is discussing such an issue in detail.

Drivers being released or updated is a daily occurrence that don't really need a separate thread on their own. People who need this information already know where to get them, on the manufacturer's website.

Sorry to say but this looks like unnecessary spam.

I also posted because the previous driver version was 6.10.17.152 & the latest updated driver version is 7.02.13.148 and thought that many might not have noticed it like I did. I think there should be separate threads stickied for chipsets driver updates & graphics cards driver updates(for Intel, AMD & Nvidia) so that to inform anybody who might or can miss noticing them and did not update their drivers.

If you were adding *any* value at all, this would've been fine.
Man, you've just copy pasted from other sites. I see no mention of what problems you were facing or what issues the new updates solved.

Cross posting without additional value is not allowed on many popular forums I know of. Not sure about TE, but for sure these threads that you just seem to use for increasing your message count (because I don't see any interactions happening otherwise) add zero value to the forum.

This post appear to be an attempt to get into the contest leaderboard.
Why is this tagged as News ? Are we going to post each and every new driver release as a news thread ?

It's not to increase post count or to get into a contest.
I have also posted the problems arising out of installing this version for 9800X3D users and for others it did not arise any problems. So I posted giving an explanation also.
If I was indeed wanted to increase post count I would not have given explanation or the problems that have arisen for certain processor users in my post.

Even another TE member was also reporting about the same error I was getting.

Until today morning I was running AMD chipset driver version 6.10.17.152 and now I installed 7.02.13.148.
Even the AMD Adrenalin Driver version I was running 23.9.3 version and then 24.8.1 until today morning because while playing Cyberpunk 2077 it was giving flatline error & while playing Witcher 3 it crashes to the desktop. Only in Wolfenstein series games it freezes some times but I completed all those games in Dec-Jan.

Since year 2000 I was playing games and bought 8 new systems but now my wife isn't allowing me to buy any new PC parts so I thought of at least help others in the forum by posting the latest driver revisions or bios revisions. You can't understand my helplessness because my wife goes to her home Village if I buy new parts and does not talk with me. By posting in TE and occasionally playing games only I keep myself sane.
I am also heavily into archeology & paranormal phenomenon so I post those posts as well like any new discovery or sighting of UFOs in this forum.

If these threads are related, you could have simply posted in one of them instead of a making a new thread altogether. We are not asking you to stop posting, but you will need to consider whether this really warrants a separate thread and be tagged as News. You have created other useful threads recently which do see a lot of activity and are useful.

Okay I will not post new posts but post in already created threads and that too if necessary.
