Looks like AMD told reviewers very late that core parking stuff (PPM drivers) that was needed for higher core count X3D CPUs on the 7XXX series, are required for non X3D CPUs now.

Steve from Gamers Nexus is even saying that a further CPU upgrade will need a windows reinstall, as per AMD! Both these points make windows seem like an operating system from the stone age.
