Your board will support a 3950x just fine and will even overclock it. Don't waste money on an x570 mobo for now. PCIe 4.0 doesn't have too much benefit right now.

The 16 core might be a bit too much for the C6H VRM according to Buildzoid.
I have the same CPU/mobo combo but I am looking at the 12 core 3900X (hopefully around 40k) on my existing hardware. I have no use case for 15 Gbps nvme RAID.:eek:

BTW @toxicdrift why are you selling off your RAM as well? Planning to get a 4000+ MHz kit?
