AMD Unveils the Dual-GPU Radeon HD 7990 Video Card

AMD has officially unveiled its dual-GPU card - Radeon 7990 code-named Malta at GDC 2013.

The GPU was showed for the first time at the event, but exact specifications were not revealed. It will feature Dual Tahiti Pro cores clocked around 1GHz and 6GB GDDR5 RAM with 384 bit x 2 interface.



It is powered by 2 x 8 pin PCI-E power connectors and requires around 375W power. It has three fan cooling system. It has five Mini Display port connectors and one DVI connector.

The Radeon HD 7990 will compete with Nvidia's latest single GPU flagship card Geforce GTX Titan which is priced at $1000 mark. It is expected to launch in Q2 2013.
