CPU/Mobo AMD up for sale? Dell seems interested!

As far as the stock market is concerned, Advanced Micro Devices may be up for sale. AMD's shares were significantly up yesterday, apparently on rumors that Dell is interested in buying the American multinational semiconductor company. Barron's reported on the rumor first:

I would say the recent departures of senior executives — COO Robert Rivet last week, CEO Dirk Meyer back in January — is still unexplained and can lead to all kinds of speculation. There's not a lot of color on the rumor at this point. Is Dell considering making a more integrated kind of product line? Talk about a change in strategy.

are you like , wtf really ... god no !!! wat is wrong with this world , you know , Manny consider AMD as an underdog , may be it is , in front of intel's agressive marketing strategies ... and just like any average human being , i'd love to watch an underdog win .. wel sometimes ..... Bulldozer coming up in few months alongwith other architectural improvements, i was so looking forward to , rumor or not, AMD does need to pull up it's socks , hope they go ahead with these 'minor ' setbacks ........ (i know i sound like a fanboy , but can't help it either ) please give intel a run for it's money ,which in turn drops prices on their <ohh so super expensive products> and we buyers get more better deals :P , now that was selfish

Yes DELL is more familiar then INTEL (Am too a fan boy of AMD) INTEL price are way too higher than AMD.

Bulldozer will significantly increase their Stock value for Sure, AMD can come up with it....
 
Hmm.. This could actually mean a jackpot for AMD. Imagine, AMD cpus powering most of dell machines! If it happens, it will definitely be a setback for Intel.
