Hi,

I need a CPU for home use; no need for overclocking.

Which one is best?

Intel Dual Core E2200, 2.2 GHz, 800MHz, 1MB,LGA Rs. 3,400

or

AMD DUAL Core X2 - 5400+ 2.8GHz, 1MB, AM2 Rs. 3,200

Please guide:huh:

For the same price you can get AMD X2 7750 Black edition [3500 Rs] which is way better .. But among these 2 E2200 eye closed ;)

Does 7750 come with HSF and Fan?

If now what is the price of HSF and Fan?

Yes it does comes with HSF [Heatsink/Fan :p], you can also add a Third party cooler like OCZ Vanquisher [1200 Rs.] if you want better cooling and churn this Black Edition for OC :p

Check the review AMD Athlon X2 7750 BE review

P.s : E5200 is also a great processor, you should consider that too but as usual upgrade path will be much easier in AMD than in Intel :p

Even 5400+ would perform better than stock E5200

And X7750BE would make every other CPU written here eat dust even at stock...:eek:hyeah:

E5200 would have been good atleast if overclocked, else it's useless...:bleh:

The power consumption on X2 BE 7750 = twice as E5200. Don't forget those heavy power bills.

The E5200 clocked at 3.2 ghz can comfortably beat the 7750 eating a lot less power and producing a lot lesser heat.

presuming you are goin to buy a motherboard also...i say if u are tight on budget then go with e5200 and g31 mobo or else go for 7750 and 780g mobo....your call..:)

Yes AMD 65nm has higher TDP and use a lot of power but with AMD CnC, the difference became quite less :p as the processor operate in very low voltage and runs in half the speed :p

Exactly, it won't matter. With Cool & Quiet, the processor uses as much power as it needs and the person is not going to overclock...So, E5200 would be a foolish decision...:cool2:

Go for the 7750 yaar. It's ur best bet as of now...:eek:hyeah:

Thank you very much for your help!

As far as motherboard concerns due to budgetary constraints and use factor (4th class student for edutainment).

Which motherboard is recommended Nvida 7025 chipset or AMD 690V or 740V?

Please guide
