CPU/Mobo Amd64 , 939 pin, "oem" version, where to get it ??

Hi guys,

i need to purchase 2 (3) pieces of 3000+ winnie in mumbai.

since i have never bought an amd cpu locally i need info. about good genuine AMD dealers @ lamington road.
and is it possible to get the "OEM" ot "Tray" version of it. meaning without the heat sink / fan. if so , what would be its approx. cost.
I have bought the following from singapore recently.
1) Zalman 7000B - CU CPUcooler.
(7700 is too "heavy" and not readily avialable at simlin)
ps: Singapore sucks for hardware Stuff. cost me S$100:huh:
Thats about 25 ~ 30 % more than what it costs @ newegg.

I dont think A64s are available in the OEM version in India. :hap5:

The CPUs available today are all box pack and AMD is firmly established in India so i dont think there is any problem if it comes to warranty issue.So i guess it is immaterial if you get it from anywhere,just find out where you get best possible rates,thats all.
 
OEMs only have a 30 day warranty unlike the retail which has 3 years. Remember that before buying OEM.
 
All most of the retail 939 sold here are really boxed OEM ones. I googled my CPU number and it turned out to me an OEM. lol
I got mine for 7.9k boxed
 
@deejay Dunno the exact address but its inside some building, I can provide you the Tel no in the night..
@stalker even if they are OEM they do provide 3 yrs warranty, and the service has improved drastically.

anyways oem version is not the priority. was just thinking of saving some cost. for e.g. if the oem version of 3200+ is avialable for say less then 10K i would rather buy that then retail version of 3000+ for 7.8K
