An alternative to CC and Paypal

Hi guys, whenever we shop on international sites the payment is only by credit cards or Paypal , being a student, I can't get a credit card, what I have is a debit card and internet banking account of i.c.i.c.i bank ,

Tried adding my debit card to Paypal , but was unsuccessful .. Also does Paypal charges too much for transactions and also adding an account ??

Is there any better option available ??

Best option is obviously directly using CC without the involvement of Paypal anywhere. If you don't have a CC, you can open an account in HDFC or Kotak Mahindra, they provide the option of creating Virtual Credit Cards on the fly and you can use them just like any other CC on all international sites, one time use. You can also use the same to verify Paypal Account if you need, it charges $2 to your card and then it gets refunded to your paypal account.

Also try contacting your ICICI bank and see if they can issue you a credit card, these days many banks issue credit cards without much of a hassle if you have an account, even if you're a student.

You can but it can only be used for withdrawing funds from paypal. You cannot load funds into paypal account with any means from India as far as I know.

Though we can link Debit card to paypal its just for verification purpose, you cannot add FUNDS in paypal using Indian Bank or Indian Debit card.
In order to get balance in ur paypal a/c u will have to ask another paypal user to transfer funds to ur a/c & u give him equivalent amt in Rs. or as per his Rate.

^ AFAIK, you cannot use an Indian debit card for verification.

However, you can use your funds from the debit card (savings) account, to create a virtual credit card (like HDFC's NetSafe), which in turn can be used to complete the verification successfully.

Hey Your bank account( only certain banks are allowed , mine is HDFC) can be linked to your Paypal account free of cost.

They will verify this by crediting a minimal amnt to your account and then ask you to enter the amnt that they credited.
the whole procedure is hassle free but wil ltake abt 4 days to complete, but is undoubtedly the best wihtout any CC and DC involvement.
