I was searching for something, stumbled upon this: http://www.hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php

It costs $35 + $19 = ~3400 INR.

It supports eMMC or USB HDD without any external powered USB hub. So right out of the box you can use it for media streaming & seed box

Specs:
* Amlogic ARM® Cortex®-A5(ARMv7) 1.5Ghz quad core CPUs
* Mali™-450 MP2 GPU (OpenGL ES 2.0/1.1 enabled for Linux and Android)
* 1Gbyte DDR3 SDRAM
* Gigabit Ethernet
* 40pin GPIOs
* eMMC4.5 HS200 Flash Storage slot / UHS-1 SDR50 MicroSD Card slot
* USB 2.0 Host x 4, USB OTG x 1,
* Infrared(IR) Receiver
* Ubuntu 14.04 or Android KitKat

Community also seems active. Obviously not so much as Pi.

Comparing with Pi 2 Model B:

I would stay away from Crazy Pi, read here that they sell counterfeit/clone stuff bought from Ali Express at high prices, like majority of sites.

IIRC, Banana Pi requires powered USB hub if you want to connect HDD

This was available for 3k on GreenIndiaElectronics when it first launched. They hiked the price after a week
you should have shared it here :|

^aliexpress ftw
AE does not have Odroid

^saar I meant Odroid is not available for cheaper. Though the boards you linked are actually good.

^Actually, you wont get anything cheaper than 50usd for single board pcs, but the problem is the import tax in India. but if you buy from aliexpress, they send in white boxes to avoid the tax. thus you get better hw at almost same price as rpi.
