In short, a C2D+X4500 graphics+DDR3+its own freaking LAN!!! Sure the nvidia Ion has a daughterboard that operates the same way but this is on a completely different performance level.

Damn just imagine all the possibilities - have a wprime deathmatch between the two CPUs!

what non sense, i would had been happier if whole PC was in a PSU !

+1 striker, PCI card lagaana toh padega kahipe.. :S

Hey!! Socket 478 (old Pentium 4)

Dude, that's Socket P (used in laptops) and not socket 478.

This one uses a screw mechanism to lock the processor while the old desktop socket used a lever.

Yup! socket p! and most of all, it supports 'Montevina' class mobile processors and DDR3 SO-DIMMs!! wow

I'm dying to see the heatsink design on this thing! :ohyeah:

^^ Consider it as an addon to your current system. Say a person needs more raw power, they can simply plug it in without need of a total upgrade.

But I guess this is not the real use of this. I am seeing infinite possibilities in Embedded systems where in we can just plug it into a PCIE Slot and we have got additional functionalities.

Again, this is coming from a noob in this field (Embedded) Am sure an expert will be able to shed more light into it.

You do realize it is running its own OS, I doubt it will appear as an addon Core2 in the HOST

The only reason I can think of it is that in case of a data center, which is running short on space. Though that still doesnt make too much sense

what kind of drivers would this thing use ???
does it use the same bios as the pc it is fitted on??
if not how does 1 primarly boot this so called pc??
does one need to have a seperate keyboard and mouse or what??
...........hey "gforce" i dont know if it is good thing or not but thanks for leting me know that "1 computer k sath dosara computer muft" offers can now be true!!!........hehehe

i guess it'll have a bios of its own!!

I see a CMOS battery! and omfg! a mini PCI-E slot!!!:S :cool2:

u could hook up a Wi-Fi card to that too! lol! still dunno what it would become though!

I guess one could split one's machine like this and have two users using at the same time just need two mice, keyboards and a monitor.

That pci slot would for plugging it into an pci backplane for expansion, not for putting this to a motherboard.
