hey guys Gamespot's news column reported that Sony's PS3 is going to win the Next Gen War. The news gives in all the details about what would be the sales figure for the consoles?(although assumed) The company which is a Market Research firm has done this survey. here goes the link - Analyst: PS3 to win next-gen war - News at GameSpot

I just hope that the hype which Sony has created, it lives up to it....because i cant wait to get my hands on PS3....hehehe.....:hap2:
 
I think the PS3 will win this gen too but I severly doubt sony will come even close to the sales that they had with the PS1 and 2.

I think it'll sell more once Blu-Ray picks up the standard. Sony may follow the tradition and release a Psthree (like Ps2 Slim and PsOne).
 
finally some positive press for sony.........i am not counting on sony taking the no 1. spot until they reduce the price and the fud they are spreading about their own system.

True. Wii and X360 have actualy all the rights to beat ps3 in sales next-gen. We'll just have to wait and see.

Well I couldn't see it any other way. Ps3 will make the best deal for a standard blu-ray player, imo.

:ohyeah: yeah some positive press....but ur not seeing the benefits that you wud b gettin with PS3....a standalone blu ray player is around 1000$ & ur gettin a blu ray player cum high end console in 600$. i totally agree with you that SONY has to reduce its price in near future to recover the lost base. but it'll be only after a year when the technology will be little old...

Umm we've debated quite a lot on the blu-ray part and imho Sony is just shoving a unnecessary technology especially when downloadable games are also being touted as the way forward. In any case if the ps3 sales don't quite pick up after launch Sony will be forced to lower prices.......
 
considering that the PS3 comes more than a year later than the Xbox360, it should damn well be better ;)

i'll definitely get the PS3, but at this very moment, i'm satisfied with my Xbox360 and it will do well to keep me occupied well after the PS3 launches simply because it will take some time for a critical mass of game titles to show up on the PS3... only then would it make sense to switch over to the PS3... but in the meantime, microsoft is probably laughing all the way to the bank with its Xbox360...
