CPU/Mobo And Gigabyte P35-DS3R/L price in Mumbai

@hitman, i dont the board is sold in india very widely for some reason, but i guess price maybe around 6k. If u dont need RAID and that many sata ports however, the Abit IP35-E is the best value mobo for 5.5k

I don't think its available here. At least you need to really hunt for them. I tried getting this board in chennai, but no a single retailer or distro had it! Finally had to settle for ABIT IP35-E

^^ it is available at dela page and sethia and mahivar computer i quote many gigabyte board too costly 13k :|

I wanted serial & parallel port (as I do lot of robotics/electronics projects) so I thought of Gigabyte p35-ds3. but if its not available widely then I may have to get Abit IP35E.

Any way if someone still knows where to get it, tell me.

^^If u need a serial and parallel port u can also consider the Biostar TP35D2-A7, it has a serial port and a header for a parallel port

MSi Neo2 FR is the best low-mid segment mobo, sadly its unavailable here :(

The stuff you are looking for is for ~Rs. 5500 . Try contacting Gigabyte dealers (check on their website for a compete listing)

the MSi NEo2-FR is available ... i located one with a dealer in Chennai.. its for 7k though...

Oh well...which dealer? does he ship over the whole country ?

The prices have been pulled up because of less supply and more demand I guess. Even newegg has upped it to $120 :(

Is there a shootout on the net which compares this mobo with IP35-E & MSI Neo2-FR...

dont know but Neo2 FR has 2 PCIE 2.0 while IP35E and DS3L have only one.

And i guess all overclock nice and sweet

the neo2 has all solid caps ,good NB cooling, and RAID... im debating on weather i shud buy it or the ip35-e for 1.5k less... the ip35-e has everything i'd need though.
the dealer who stocks the nEO2-FR is mahavir computers on Ritchie Street, i'll ask if he can ship it all over India.

:S :S Gigabyte P35-DS3R is not PCI-e 2.0 but DS3L is ....

Can you confirm... I guess none of the Gigabyte P35 is PCI-e 2.0 even though the chipset supports it but its not implemented....

Whats the price for Gigabyte P35-DS3R & Gigabyte P35C-DS3R... in India...

First of all I am surprised to see how many people are confusing this board for PCI express 2.0 board.

It is not PCI Express 2.0 but good old 1.0/1a compliant. No P35 board is PCI express 2.0.

Secondly this board will make sense when it will come down to sub 5k category. This is suppose to be sub $100 board. I know its not US but even then a pricing close to 5k would have justified this board. 7k is big no no. It does not perform any better or clock better than IP35-E.

Funky.... Are you sure of the price to be at 7k for DS3R... There are more than 20 Gigabyte mobos for IP35 & it makes everything complicated... :S

Whoa...!!! Are you sure ? I thought PCIE 2 was the prevalent standard.

EDIT: Found

I was talking about DS3L, no ICH9R chip is that cheap. What Funky said about PCIE 2.0
